Month of Prayer Day 22: Nagykanizsa English camps

Paul and Tena Brock of the IMB Western Hungary Team ask that we pray with them for the June 24-28 and July 1-5 intensive English outreach camps that will be taking place in Nagykanizsa. Preparations are going on now both on-site in Hungary and in the US as volunteers prepare to teach English lessons and share their testimonies with students.

  • Pray that preparations and logistics will go smoothly.
  • Ask the Lord to bring students to the camps full of enthusiasm to improve their language skills and with hearts ready to receive the message of the love of Christ.

More info about Nagykanizsa on the city’s Wikipedia page.  Join the Brocks’ prayer team by requesting updates through the Western Hungary Team contact form.

Month of Prayer Day 8: Budapest concert

The Chain Bridge and Parliament

Today is the Singing Men of Texas’s final concert of the tour, which will take place in Budapest.  As the nation’s capital, things that happen here deeply affect the entire country and reach into other countries as well.  (More photos and info about Budapest on Wikipedia)

  • Pray for a movement of the Holy Spirit as the men sing, as evangelist Michael Gott speaks, and as individual conversations take place while the group is in the city. Ask for effective follow-up by national believers with those who indicate they want to follow Christ, with deep, long-term discipleship taking place.
  • Praise the Lord together with us for what God has been doing during this entire tour!  Intercede for a safe trip home for all the volunteers, and that their testimonies of seeing God work will inspire those back home to also reach out in faith to share the Good News wherever they may go.

Month of Prayer Day 7: Pécs concert

The Singing Men of Texas have another concert today in Hungary, this time in the city of Pécs(Photos and more about the city on Wikipedia)

Praise God, so far on the tour there has been a wonderfully positive response to the gospel message in song and word!  Learn more on the Singing Men of Texas blog and their Facebook page.

  • Pray today for those who will be coming to the Pécs concert that do not know Christ, that their hearts will be open to receive the Good News and that they will joyfully respond to the follow-up over the days and months to come.
  • Pray for the Singing Men, for evangelist Michael Gott, the partnering church and national believers, and for all who are helping. Ask that all the logistics will go smoothly, and for health and safety for everyone.

Month of Prayer Day 2: Békéscsaba concert

Today we’ll again be lifting up the Singing Men of Texas, this time as they present a concert in the town of Békéscsaba. Pray for the hearts of the people who hear the gospel through both music and the preaching of international evangelist Michael Gott.  As you pray, ask for effective follow-up by the local believers with those who make decisions for Christ or express interest in knowing more.

Month of Prayer Day 1: TS Support Group & Debrecen concert

We’re starting off this month of prayer with a double prayer request – lots going on today!

The Turner Syndrome Support group is meeting today in one of Budapest’s beautiful parks. Pray relaxed conversations will lead to shared testimonies and the gospel. Also pray that rainy weather won’t hinder what needs to happen during this get-together.

The Singing Men of Texas will be presenting the first of their 10 concerts of this tour in Debrecen today, the music being followed by a simple, gospel-centered message from international evangelist Michael Gott.   Pray that the Lord will refresh the team after their long flights and help them to adjust quickly so that they can serve with joy and strength; intercede that local believers will bring their lost friends and follow up with them over the days to come.
