Month of Prayer Day 14: Baptist Academy English Classes

Today let’s pray for the English classes IMB personnel are helping to teach at the Baptist Academy in Budapest.  They are taking place Tuesday and Wednesday evenings through the end of May, and are a partnership ministry with the Baptist Theological Seminary.

  • Give thanks for this opportunity to help students prepare for language exams required for graduation, and to serve alongside some very hardworking Hungarian language teachers. This is allowing our workers to spend time both with Hungarians preparing for ministry and also with other community members who need help with their language skills. Good spiritual conversations have been taking place from week to week.
  • Pray that the Kingdom will be built up, and that strengthened relationships with the Baptist Union and its next generation will lead to valuable partnership ministry throughout the coming years.

Month of prayer – Day 24, denominational leaders

Today our prayer request is for denominational leaders as they guide the churches’ missions and outreach. Pray for wisdom and strength for them as they move boldly forward in training, encouraging, and setting a strong biblical example of evangelism, discipleship, and church planting.

As you pray, lift up in particular the President of the Hungarian Baptist Union, János Papp [Yaː’-nōsh Pŏp]; the General Secretary, Kornél Mészáros [kor’-neːl meː’-saː-rōsh]; and the Director of Missions, István Durkó [ēsht’-vŏn dur’-kō].
